- Skanderbeg SquareThe civic heart of the city, with the National History Museum, Et'hem Bey Mosque and the opera all within a short walk. Best as a first-day orientation base.
- BllokuFormerly restricted for the communist elite, now a dense strip of cafes, bars and restaurants. Choose it if you want evening life within walking distance of your hotel.
- Pazari i Ri (New Bazaar)A covered market of produce, spices and small food counters, with terraces above. Good for a relaxed breakfast and buying picnic supplies for Dajti.
